We didn't start Marnora in a boardroom. We started it on a reformer, halfway through a series we couldn't finish - not because we weren't strong enough, but because our wrists gave out before we did.

And we weren't the only ones. We noticed friends struggling with the same thing, and saw others in class working through discomfort. Teachers would offer modifications - forearms, fists - just to help people get through a sequence.

We looked for something that gave us the support we needed without taking away flexibility, and that looked good too. We couldn't find it. So we made it.

And once we did, we realised it wasn't just a pilates problem. The same challenge came up in yoga, sculpt, strength training and any workout that puts weight through our hands.

We're Carmen and Khyara, two sisters with different personalities but one shared vision.

Khyara keeps us moving. She's the driving force behind Marnora, with an eye for every detail and a perfectionist's approach to everything we create. Her strategic business mindset helps turn ideas into action.

Carmen keeps us grounded. She's the calm behind Marnora, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of doing things. She brings creativity and a strong commercial instinct to everything we do.

We don't always see things the same way at first, but that's exactly what makes us stronger together. We challenge each other, complement each other and share the same ambition: to create something women genuinely love wearing and feel good about using.
